Welcome to the Pairpoint Glass Knowledge Center...

Picture

We started collecting Pairpoint Glass in 1990, after coming upon a beautiful tall green candlestick in an out-of-the-way antique store in Southern Maryland. I knew less than nothing about glass at the time, but the dirty faded label said it was Pairpoint. I asked my wife if she knew anything about Pairpoint and she said it was “high end.” This candlestick really spoke to me, so we bought it. Little did we know at the time that Pairpoint fever had just taken over our lives.

In an effort to learn more about Pairpoint and its products, we quickly discovered the lack of easily obtained public knowledge on the subject. Two books had been written in the previous three decades and they were hard to find and very expensive to purchase if copies could be found. Fortunately, the author of one book lived near us and when contacted, offered to loan us a copy. Without his kindness and the help from others along the way, this website would never have come into existence.

Now, 30-years later, with most of that time spent researching, collecting, organizing, and documenting, we are pleased to offer the content of our work to the general collecting public. This website contains or provides the opportunity for anyone to obtain everything we have gathered over thirty years. This site also provides the opportunity for our visitors to contact us with questions or observations.

Our philosophy is simple…no one owns this information. To hoard knowledge and keep it from others is selfish and denies the original factory workers, those who created this beauty, of their rightful historic legacy. Therefore, we offer all that we know to you. We have only one requirement which is your assurance that whenever possible, you will share your knowledge with others.
