Gundersen Glass Works (1939-1952) and Gundersen-Pairpoint (1952-1957)

We have finally decided to post our research results for the Gundersen and Gundersen-Pairpoint era in New Bedford, Massachusetts, covering the period starting in 1939 and ending in 1957. We have delayed this posting for at least five years in the hope that we could connect more of the dots for identification purposes. Alas, we've decided to go with what we have as of 2019.

THIS SECTION is in two parts: The Gundersen Database tab is our data compilation. As you might expect, if you've studied our other sections, we have items grouped in similar categories to aid in searching. The extreme right-hand column will let you know if we have a corresponding image available in the Image Section. The second tab takes you to all the images we have been able to reasonably well-match to Catalog numbers.

WHEN VIEWING THE IMAGES...THE GUNDERSEN CATALOG NUMBER IS LOCATED TOP LEFT

Once the original Pairpoint Corporation closed in 1938, many things changed. Most affecting our identification work was the decline in the fastidious nature of cataloging the products offered for sale. This fact has rendered our job extremely difficult in providing you with better information.

We hope this provides you with better tools to identify glass made by Gundersen Glass Works and successor, Gundersen-Pairpoint.
